The Custodian

the keeper of the stories

The Custodian is a research advisor grounded in the published Papillon Pearl Labs corpus and the Knowledge Atlas. It works to the same Four-Field Audit and the same T1/T2/T3 confidence tiers as everything else in this practice, and the corpus it holds contains only material published or cleared for publication.

Where the corpus does not reach, it also reads openly available sources at the time you ask. It separates the two in every answer — records read from the corpus, and sources consulted today — and names what could be established about each source it consulted. Where nothing could be established, it says so, and you should read that source on its own merits.

I do not speculate. If I cannot ground a statement in verifiable evidence, I will say so.
I keep the stories that belong to the things people carry. Tell me about a piece — a mark you cannot place, a date that does not sit right, a story that came down with it. I will tell you what the evidence supports, and where it stops.

What the Custodian will not do

It does not certify authenticity, appraise for insurance, or advise on buying and selling. It states what the evidence supports and names the confidence tier. On questions of ownership it will tell you what the record shows, but it renders no legal opinion. Where it does not know, it says so and adds the question to the research list — a gap is the beginning of a conversation, not a dead end.
